Hello fellow junglepeople 
I’m thinking about changing the category of one of my items – has anybody of you ever done that? Will it change the item ID? I’m asking because I’m worried that in case someone has already bookmarked the item they couldn’t find it anymore.

I would like to know this too. I tried to change the category by going into the “edit” screen and typed a message to the reviewer, but that doesn’t seem to work (no reply and the item is not listed in the “upload que” again). Maybe it’s better to contact support? Any help on this would be much appreciated!

Try to edit something else with this message (add a keyword etc.) it has worked when I’ve changed the title with mistake.

I’ve successfully submitted a cat change in the past by going the route Martjin suggested.
In order for it to appear in the upload cue you have to change something else like tags, etc. as well.
