What’s the best way to adjust this from a button? So when clicked it adjusts that parameter (6000)?

Change timer delay?
Or just read this value from xml?

I am using AS2 and all I need to is change that delay value, ideally I am going to have 2 buttons, one for slow and one for fast, the fast would change that value to 2000, and the slow would change that value to 9000. Does that make sense?

Yes it does, however I am not familiar with AS2 so you will need to wait for someone elses reply.
