Tomorrow I’ll be flying up to Chiang Mai, a city in the north of Thailand.
Ill be renting an apartment for at least a month and spending some of my time down at Punspace with the idea of catching up on work and meeting other online workers & Internet nerds 
If anyone is in the area or going to be in the area over the next month, holla! We’ll go grab a coffee or stronger if you fancy 
I missed out on meeting anyone in Bangkok as I ended up rather ill, however I’ll be back down there soon enough as Luis’ big night out looks too good!
I have much more time in Chiang Mai so I can be a lot more flexible, plus my stomach is now used to the food haha

You sir/madam are living the dream! I’ve always dreamt of flying towards places like Thailand and work there for a few months/years! Heard lots of great stuff on Chiang Mai. I’ve been to India and Malaysia myself, but never got the chance to pay a visit to Thailand.
How much on average would you pay monthly for a ‘mediocre’ apartment? I’m really planning to live in Thailand for a while in 2 years from now on.

I’m staying in a place called Smith Residence and renting one of their Deluxe Rooms.
Depending on the season, the Deluxe rooms are between $200-$350 a month, with access to the rooftop pool, gym and weekly room cleaning. Standard rooms are a little cheaper. You can also rent a full Suite for around $500-$1000, again depending on the season.

I’m currently near Nakhon Phanom in the Northeast visiting my wife’s family. I love it here and i’m sure you will enjoy Chang Mai! Heading back to LA next week though..
