Hi,

anyone know of some good server software that lets clients ftp, write notes, plan things etc.. ? I have seen backpack but i don`t think you can brand it.

I don’t know of any backpack clones, but I know there is the basecamp clone ProjectPier

Is writing your own a realistic option?

i have used project pier before can`t remember why i did not like it! pretty sure you can load your own css in to theme it. PHProjekt looks promising but its still in alpha i think.

theres onehub, not sure about branding though.

basecamp is nice, im using that at the moment with a client.

Hey chuck, why not use the client area file here on the den?

You could always modify if with some php to allow users to upload files to their folder etc. And access files in their folder on the ftp.

its a great file but its just too simple for my needs. I need to-do-lists, calendar, chat, project goals etc.. Also i think Flash is the wrong tool for this task.

fair enough, was going to say i could help you out with the customization, but i see what you mean now, your needs are a lot more advanced than that file.
