hello there, i am here with a question that maybe sounds tupid, but i have absolutely found nothing and would and could need your help -

what is the client login for, some authors and some design company use a client login. but how does it work, what script is running in the background, is this a login for a cms? is this a forum for clients to inform them about updates, maintenance…?

how do you use the client login?

In the real world, the client login is used by web design and other firms to allow their clients access to another area of the site that might be for help/support, it might be to exchange files or as I’ve been using it for – to show work done to date.

In terms of the themes here, I’d say they are likely just for looks and don’t do anything e.g. there are no scripts in them as such.

Hope that helps.

Depends what type of clients you`re wanting to manage.

I use WHMCS to manage my hosting clients and also use it for a variety of other billing methods for clients and invoices.

Hello 0703,

If you’re referring to WHMCS , yes, it is. If you need help setting it up and understanding it, please feel free to contact me. I’d be more than willing to help.

WHMCS does cost a monthly fee, but as far as I’m concerned there is nothing out there that does what it does and as well. It has tons of pre-installed invoices, templates, calculates your taxes and handles your end of the year reports.

Easy integration with HTML and WordPress, or basically anything else really. I’ve had it integrated into Joomla before, now I use it with my HTML website.

It’s convenient to me for billing both design clients and hosting clients, but at the same time I manage other freelance work within it as well.

Very very useful. Best of luck.

Kind regards, Bryce

Oh thats interesting – never come accross WHMCS before thanks, I wonder if I can use it in the UK….

In terms of a client login, most f the stuff I let clients have access to is things like any customer comments, and more teh CMS side of their site really.
