There are a few brilliant items on codecanyon that I would like to use in the future in a theme I’m currently developing. If I buy one with an extended licence for say 25$, and place it in my theme, does it matter how many themes are sold or can I sell an unlimited amount and pay 25$ for one licence?

You will need to buy an extended license for each theme.

You will need to buy an extended license for each theme.

Do you mean each theme that I create or each theme sold?

For example, I make a theme called “Delight” and it sells 100 copies on TF. An extended licence for the codecanyon Slider item is $25.

Does that $25 cover the 100 themes sold or do I need to pay $25 for each theme sold using the Slider, coming to $2500 ?

Sorry to labour the point :)

As far as I know it is not allowed to use items from another marketplace and include them in your own items. You need to contact the author of the particular item and find a separate agreement.

http://codecanyon.net/wiki/support/legal-terms/licensing-terms/

For example: you may incorporate the Work, such as a music file, in a sound mixing software program that you or your client distributes commercially. An unlimited number of copies of the software program may be made and sold but the Work cannot be incorporated in more than one software program or other work. Additionally, buyers of the software program must not offer the Work (that is the music file) for sale, such as on a site like AudioJungle.net .

“Extended Licence” a website template for sale (including on ThemeForest or ActiveDen) – Details

This is what it say’s on codecanyon. Which is why i’m trying to understand exactly what this licence allows.

Thanks for taking the time to find this :)

So if I sell 1000 copies (I wish) of a theme, I only need to pay for one extended licence, say $25. I think that’s what your quote is stating.

yes, but like said Pogoking above, one extended license is for one theme.
