Due to a previous unrelated thread, this came up and it seems like there’s a lot of peeps out there who think a like…
So , +1 if you think Videohive’s stock footage category should be combined with Photodune’s stock photography and kept separated from Motion Graphics projects in Videohive giving us authors a few more days, hours, or just seconds on the front page.

What is the problem? In the front page there is several buttons near words “New Items”: All, After Effects Project Files, Motion Graphics, Stock Footage, Cinema 4D Templates. Just press, for example, “After Effects Project Files” and that is all, no problem of “stock footage”

I think it brings an audience to Videohive that otherwise wouldn’t be here. I think some of the fast growth in sales and visits over the last few months can be put down to the expansion of the stock footage section.
Some more cross-fertilization from Photo-dune to Videohive wouldn’t go amiss.

The flood of bad quality stock files destroys our creative ecosystem. For me it is the wrong way to combine them with great after effects files.

Cohabitation is not absolutely clear for new buyers,
I had to explain to several people there were also some footages, because they thought it was the templates and they did not understand what was customizable XD.

Despite my -1 above, I do agree that the stock footage files currently affect the overall perception of quality rather negatively.

“All” section of the front page needs to be removed, default should be “After Effect Project Files”, everything else is fine IMO . Maybe devs can think about adding Popular Files section for the stock footage to compensate
