As a requirement in my BE in Computer Engineering I have to intern at a company this summer.
I’ve applied to the obvious famous ones (Google, facebook, microsoft, intel, IBM)

Where else should I apply ? Any one knows about a very good company that has internship?

Thanks

Look for companies that are involved with your university (sponsoring clubs, donating technology, etc). You will have a much higher probability of getting an interview.

Or you can just step outside of your comfort zone and apply for a company in a field not as obvious as Google or Facebook. For example, you can apply to The Mill: http://www.themill.com They are a top-notch post-production and visual effects company. I’m pretty sure that you can learn a lot working with people like them. Behind those complicated visual effects are a lot of programmers and crazy algorithms. You can find more info about their internship program here: http://www.themill.com/careers/working-at-the-mill.aspx

Yes, I applied to the best 2 companies that have are involved with my university, most probably I’ll make it there. But I wanted to try companies abroad, that are innovative.

Yes, I am looking for companies like these ones!
Problem is that it is really hard to research such companies.

Thanks for the tip!
