What do you mean by crash? If you’re talking about bluescreens appearing since you installed windows 8, then you have problems with drivers. Update them all with proper versions and everything should be fine :)

Blue Screen is mainly a problem with the RAM and hardware conflicts with incompatible drivers. Try updating the driver, or to test the stress tests for the identification of non-working components. Maybe there’s old equipment under which the driver is not released yet compatible with Windows 8? then advise revert to version 7 or replace old equipment

Hi TNL – it’s hard to tell without analyzing the memory dump, but from your explanation it sounds most likely like driver issues. There may be some hardware in your machine that just will not play nicely with windows 8.

I suggest either upgrading your hardware one by one, or a clean install of windows 7. If you have files on the computer you’ll want to save them to an external drive before doing this as you will lose them.

Follow these steps to properly do a clean install, includes formatting your partition: http://blog.tune-up.com/windows-insights/a-step-by-step-guide-how-to-clean-install-windows-7/

Hope that helps!
