Submission Instructions
- If you haven’t listened to the Envato Community Podcast yet, listen now! The podcast contains music to give you an idea of how we will be using your music throughout the podcast.
- You need to create 3 pieces of music:
- Intro: Your intro should be approximately 20 – 30 seconds
- Break: Your “break” will be used during the podcast to provide a break to the conversation. It should be shorter than your intro, approximately 10-15 seconds in length, and it should be based on the same tune/melody as your intro.
- Outro: Your outro should be approximately 20 – 30 seconds and it should be based on the same tune/melody as your intro and “break”.
- After you have created all 3 pieces of music, upload them to the Music category (you can choose any genre you wish). Your main .zip should contain all 3 pieces of music in .mp3 and/or .wav format and your watermarked preview should contain all 3 pieces of music.
- Only files accepted into our library (normal upload instructions apply) will be eligible for the contest.
- Important: Only ONE entry per author is allowed. We’re looking for quality, not quantity!

- Think about the genre, mood and tempo of music that might work best for our podcast. Ask yourself whether the end of the intro and “break” should be trailed instead of ending abruptly to allow the podcaster’s voice to appear over the top of the music. These are not requirements, but just suggestions for you to think about before you create your music.
- After your submission has been approved by the reviewers, you must post a link to your track in this thread.
- Don’t forget to post your entries no later than Friday June 25th.
Voting
Jordan and Drew will be providing more information on how to vote after the submission deadline has ended. Stay tuned!
GOOD LUCK !

Argh, what if I already submitted 3 files that match the contest perfectly? Those are fresh from the stove and ironicly done for a podcast. :c

I’ll check with Drew and Jordan to see if they will allow existing files. I think that should be okay.
One of us will report back and let everyone know for sure.

Ugh, uhm…wait, so I have to add the other 2 files to the one I’m going to update? So, a main .zip with all 3 files then and a preview with all the files? Correct?
Tis one sounds like fun. I’m in.
