I just had an idea, since copyright issues are becoming a big problem amongst authors, how about we introduce a meta tag for websites to prove that they actually bought the various items they’re using?
<meta name="codecanyon-purchase-id" content="a423kjf9fk3fsf3; 234kfgfsdkjf3" />
Where the content of the tag is your purchased item/’s id’s separated by a semicolon.
I honestly don’t see why not, it feels good to prove that you contributed the the author and payed for the item.
Just a thought, anyway.
So if someone buys over 1k items there are 1k id in meta.
I’m sorry that’s not looking good to me.
I think we need to find other solution
-1 for that.
Same as other companies like EA or Ubisoft try to prevent privacy with some kind of serial-key-and-always-online-crap this only frustats loyal buyers and don’t stop bad people from doing bad things.
Unfortunately this wont work!.
One more thing I like to mention is that if you item has been downloaded 100 times illegally, it doesn’t mean you have lost 100 sales cause most of them would not use the item if they have to buy it. (This applies to music companies as well which claim to lose millions of dollars)
What’s to stop me from putting that meta tag on my website? Oh… nothing? Yeah, that was easy to bypass. ;3
poorly thought out idea – would never work.
