CS5 – we all know what benefit it have. In next couple of months I plan to buy new machine, and install CS5 package on it. I will transfer to CS5 completly and will not look back to CS4 , even if it affects the sales. I used CS5 only once in one studio, performances of computer like mine, and I was amazed. As felt_tips said, it’s not about rendering time, actually for me it’s like 5% because of that, it’s about workflow.
What do you think? Is it time for videohive authors to switch to CS5 ? If majority of authors switch to CS5 , buyers who don’t have CS5 would be forced to buy it.
Thoughts?

As Ken mentioned on another thread, CS5 was an expensive upgrade, because plug-ins needed to be upgraded to 64 bit too. With many of them, that involved an upgrade cost.
However, CS5 has been out for nearly 2 years now and if Adobe is planning on sticking to its release schedule roughly, then we should expect CS6 sometime this year.
Last time Adobe released an interim version (6.5) in June 2004, the gap between the full versions (6.0 and 7.0) was 29 months. So far, 22 months have elapsed since CS5 .
CS5 – is it time?
No:)

Just tested pt_OpenSesame, works like a charm. It is definitely CS5 time for me.. at least for the work process.. then you can easily convert to CS3 files and upload. Finally!

@3Dbacks – Sorry dude, I pressed the wrong button.. >:(
You said “it would only work if clients had the script too.” On the contrary, clients DO NOT need the script and it will still work. So.. CS5 it is!

Inlife’s right. Work in CS5 … back convert… upload.
What you upload is a CS3 project. You’ve just got to be careful that you don’t use any features of CS5 that are not available in earlier versions… otherwise it should work perfectly.
sorry for me:) sorry for you:)
no problem…....
