Hi guys ! First of all , i’m french so my english wont be 100% good.

Not long ago , we were talking about the necessity to learn CSS for a designer. Someone talked to me about a really good book : CSS Mastery. I’ve been reading that book for couple days and it is awesome!

So to practice myself I began to use these skills and I’m coding one of my PSD template. Everyday I will show you my progress and everybody who want to look at my code and comments , you are welcome. I really want to learn CSS and I’m a quick learner so don’t be affraid to give me your feedback , I will really appreciate them.

Here is the page that I will code : http://tinyurl.com/cfpwdj For the moment , I will only focus on HTML /CSS and I will do the JQuery part later.

At the beginning , I did all my div based on the dimension of my PSD file .. I don’t know if its a good thing to do .. you guys can tell me ;)

Here is my progress so far : http://tinyurl.com/auoukz Note that I used a PNG image for the logo because I want the user to be able to switch it without have to re-render it with the white glow under it. It doesnt work with IE6 now but I will fix these PNG bug at the end.

Can’t wait to see what you guys think of my work.

Dany

BTW , you can give me advice on something I havent already done. I.E : How to make the cell + info on the right box so it is easier to fade in and out when I will do the Jquery.

(BTW the info will change on the right box , you can see it there : http://themeforest.net/files/76303/Screenshots/5_ddsolutions_header.jpg , the info will change after 10 second or if the user click on the grey button under it .. )

Thanks !

Ok I need some help here , If you look at the H1 WELCOME TO DDSOLUTIONS ! .. the padding on top of it is different with IE .. I was able to fix it on IE6 using that :

padding-top: 22px !important;

padding-top: 35px;

IE6 didnt understand the !important and then swith directly to the other rule .. but IE7 understood it and it was not good there .. so I took it off…

What should I do to get the same padding on IE and FF ?

Thanks

Oh just found what the problem was .. in FF , I have to specify to the H1 or the P on a div that there is no margin on top .. its putting some margin by default .. thats weird…

I’m talking to myself a lot lately !

I was naive to think that someone would help a competitor , everybody help when they know the theme will never be approved though ..
