Hello

Does anyone has any tips to improve the video preview quality of items in the CSS category?
For example, our latest item’s video preview was recorded in HD but shows up quite unsharp. I know we can put an extra link on the item’s page to show a video with better quality but how about improving the standard video preview?

I use Camtasia and it works well, there are a lot of encoding options.

Off-topic (if someone from the staff could reply) : why can’t we upload a video preview for the javascript category ? It would be nice :)

Use screenr.com to record, and then download the video to your desktop. That way, you don’t have to worry about the settings. :)

I agree with Keliah. A video preview for the javascript category would be great!

Thanks but we did that already.
I think the quality is lost when converting from mp4 to flv. media-convert.com as referred to in the wiki is down. We tried mediaconverter.org but that doesn’t give great results (at least not from mp4 to flv).

Ahh, I see. Screenr works great. It’s the converter you’re using. Make sure the settings are correct. Are you a Mac or PC?
