Hi I purchased the Cueburst Ticket Script sometime back now, a fantastic ticket script which had a couple of big updates and the developer seemed extremely helpful unfortunately due to time pressures he sold the rights to the script on Ebay and since then the new owner who ever it maybe has paid no attention to the questions and requests on Codecanyon.

I am wondering what is the legal situation on getting modifications done privately on this script? I have sent a handful of messages privately even tried on Twitter and the facebook link provided and still no reply. It is such a great script but could be even better with many of the suggestions by people who have purchased it.. if it is a dead project maybe I cut my losses and buy something else more professional but if it is okay to get a private developer to do some tweaks then I will look into it. Ideas and thoughts please.

Regards Steve

Hey Steve,

If you’re still after some assistance please feel free to contact me.

I have a ticketing system listed here on codecanyon and if you think it would suit your needs then I would be happy to look at migrating your existing data.

I’m not sure about Cueburst, but my Ticketing system allows you to modify the code for internal use (it also has a plugin system).

Many thanks, Michael.

Hi Steve,

My name is Adrian, we spoke a few times when you bought Cueburst. I was the original developer of the support system.

Due to other commitments, I had to sell Cueburst to another developer friend of mine. He only had it for a month and then sold it on eBay… since then, it seems to have disappeared and no more developments have continued.

It’s sad to see something I worked on, and which was sold to many people suddenly be scrapped. If I could have foreseen this, I wouldn’t have sold it on.

If you require support Steve, please email me at adrian.three@gmail.com, and I will do my best to help you out, I think this is only fair as you paid for it.

My old email, adrian@cueburst.com got deleted when the new eBay “owner” took over.

Thanks, Adrian

Hello Steve,

We have just purchased Cueburst and our merge should complete shortly. We made the purchase due to the fact that we have the resources to support it and continue development on it. We plan on re-releasing on Feb 1st with full support. I will personally update this thread in a couple of days with more information. Please pass this on as I know there have been many, many people looking for support and how to purchase this.

Hi Lawrence , this is fantastic news I will most certainly pass any information on where possible and I will be watching this space and cueburst.com with eager eyes.

It still is the best ticket script that I have seen on codecanyon by a long shot and compares easily with other profesional scripts I have seen else where, apart from the lack of being unable to route emails via the help desk it really is a professional looking and incredibly versatile script , i wish you every success and look forward to support and new features in the future.

I would be happy to pay a fee to see the script evolve and move forward.

Kind regards

Steve

What really happened to CueBurst,

I bought it with a lot of zeal, the script had a lot of potential, why did the original owner sell it?

I now can tell the words, my grandpa said that ” you cant live on somebodys lucky star”

It’s true now that cueburst is dead, and even though somebody else promises a heaven out of the new modified script it won’t ever be the same

WHY DID YOU ADRIAN SELL THIS GREAT SCRIPT?

SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!

I started a role as a full-time web’ developer in my city, so I didn’t feel it was fair to keep running Cueburst when I knew I couldn’t dedicate as many hours to it as I was previously doing.

So when I sold it, I thought the new owners would continue development and support.

Sadly not. Sorry guys.

Although i’m looking forward to the new version, alot!

Hi,

As previously mentioned, I was the developer behind Cueburst so if you’d like to know anything about it, feel free to drop me an email, adrian.three@gmail.com

I’d be interested to hear about what plans you have too, for curiosity sake. :)

Adrian

Hello Guys,

We were not the previous buyers of the support system. We are in transfer of the system as we speak. We plan on rolling the current version back out Feb 1st with development of the new features and such to start immediately. We are pretty excited about this.

Adrian, thanks for the kind words. I will contact you by email shortly.

Thanks again guys. I will update this thread very soon!

Hello Scarabsweepers,

We are re-releasing in the next day or two. This will be a minor release to get this back on the market. A major released is planned in the next couple months.

In this first release we have cleaned up some bugs. Some errors were printing when certain functions ran and are now fixed.

We have added automatic redirects to login and logout pages. For example, now when a user / admin logs in, it will redirect them to the page that they logged into. You will not have to click the continue button. Or when logging out, it will now redirect to login page on logout.

We have added a column in the admin tickets section now for user / guest name. Before the ticket showing on the admin tickets section did not have a name showing. It will now show the user’s name in the row with a link to the user’s profile. If the ticket was opened by a guest, then it will show the users name with a Guest label and no link to profile. This column name is now called Submitter.

There will also be another column in the admin tickets section for last reply. Replies were eliminated. There were more requests to show the last reply of the ticket then how many total replies towards that ticket. So now the ticket will show when the last reply was.

A “php divisible by zero function” error was being displayed in the admin section behind the scenes. This has now been corrected.

Some more minor tweaks have been made.

What we are working on now for the first major upgrade in the next couple months are:

-the addition of Spanish, French and German languages to be added to the system first.

-when replying to ticket from the admin section, keeping the staff member in the admin section rather than opening a new page to the front end user view when replying to ticket.

-adding when opening/replying to ticket, in the editor, being able to browse to a picture and include it rather than having the image located in another and supplying a link to pull it from

-email routing / email piping

This is just a dew on the list.
