The answer is all: big headlines look crappy on Windows systems, therefore I use Cufon for that. Fontface & google for body copy.

Same. Do all the @font-face fans use Macs out of interest?

Don’t get me wrong, I love the ease of use of Google fonts, and would love to just use it without considering js replacement, but those jaggies on Win :(..

It’s just a matter of going through them and finding fonts that look good.

I’ve come across numerous themes ( I’m guessing mac authors ) where the fonts look horrible.

That’s because Microsoft is terrible at font rendering.

Actually they aren’t that bad. The problem is cleartype rendering: if it’s turned on, all fonts in bigger sizes are non-aliased and look horrible. When it’s off, it looks fine.

(I’m no M$ fan, don’t get me wrong)

It looks worse with ClearType off.

I have to agree with Alex, who happens to look a lot like Superman.. Anyways,

I personally don’t have a Mac yet, but I used a Macbook at bestbuy a short time ago and it was AMAZING . Besides the amazing visuals, the ease of use was killer.. That’s why I’m getting one in January – will be perfect for everything I do except gaming (I have a gaming PC for that).

This actually does a fairly decent effort at fixing the Windows crappy rendering.
