Thanks for all the comments :) but no serious answers yet :(

They’ll probably get payed hourly due to the fact that if they got paid on commission they’d be approving all to get more commission, having much higher prices etc.

Could be wrong but I imagine that’s the way it works

Why should authors know that? I think it’s really better to not discuss this in public, otherwise some people start spreading (conspiracy) theories why their files get rejected…
I really mean that serious this time!

Arguably true, if you don’t want to know don’t read the forum. Simple as they get paid one way or another, true we don’t need to know, and no. it doesn’t influence submissions, they’re job is to be professional and that wouldn’t be.

You know, we had some strange fellows an audiojungle in the last months, denouncing reviewers because their track is not accepted. But in fact those tracks were really not good enough!
The more those guys know about the system, the more they will try to attack it, no matter which way it is…
Because of this IMO it’s sometimes better that not all (unnecessary) information is widespread.
As you said, to know this will not affect the submissions, so why should everybody know it?

I got a shower cap last month. I was going to take a picture of myself using it in the shower, but someone here has already done that… ;)
