I purchased the Modernize theme, and have been editing both the style.css, and the style-custom.css files. However, no matter what I do to the custom.css file – it keeps reverting back to its original state within 15 minutes of me saving the changes. So I deleted the complete file off – and much to my dismay – one day later – it was back!

How can I overwrite this crazy file?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hey jmcniel,

You’d better place it in style.css or try to create a child theme and place in style.css because style-custom.css will be re-written every time you save the option.

I read this from one of the comment in the item discussion page by the author.
