I’ve just tried to submit an update which was rejected because:
“Your submission’s demo preview alters or removes our marketplace iframe and/or iframe header bar. User modification or removal of these elements is no longer permitted.”
I know many people (including me) have been using custom headers for a very long time without any problems. Moreover, I haven’t seen any notice regarding this new policy so I found it very surprising.
I’ve just checked an item from elite author and it has a custom iframe header bar.
Now that’s interesting. There wasn’t any official statement about it.
This would be a big step back. The (boring) header doesn’t have an item switcher or works with responsive themes which should be required nowadays.
I guess this was just a mistake by the reviewer
Looks like no one has any idea about what’s going on and it’s not just me It would be nice to get the official statement from envato.
@tomsky, as you are the first “victim”, you could open a ticket in Suppor Center regarding that issue.
Why custom iframe header is so important?
Why not submit for review without item switcher and add it later?
I don’t get it why it would be forbidden, especially considering revaxarts’ point… it’s not like we get a referral if the preview visitor comes from the marketplace…
