Custom iframe header bar no longer permitted?

The most important “negatively affect” is money. You cannot take our money so easy. We host it, we link back to Themeforest with our ref for a couple of bucks. You don’t host it so you cannot do this to authors who only promote Themeforest items and not something else.

This sounds more like Google bleeding money technique with Youtube, just don’t want to pay video makers and freeze their views counting at a certain unpayable level.

So when is this announcement? Seems to me that we should be given the specifics if our items are going to be rejected because of it.

It won’t be launched without a reasonable solution to the problems everyone has mentioned here. Like I said before I “jumped the gun” on this with the review team, I apologize. We aren’t trying to take more of your money or make it harder for you to make money. Envato’s mission is to help people earn and learn, online. If this doesn’t match up with that mission then we won’t do it.

So, having said that, why not use this as an opportunity to take a look at what features the iframe header bar should have and how it should be improved?

• Theme/Product switching
• Product style switching
• Responsive design compatibility

What else would you guys like to see?

Our reference in the link back to Themeforest is most important rather than style switcher.

At least this can pay part of our hosting for the demos.

so will these suggestions get added to the “pipeline” like ever other suggestions that have been made

Pricing tool for elite authors, iframe bar. It looks like you’re trying to keep authors away from the marketplace, because there were so many requests about search tool in comments, ability to reply. Instead of this authors have setup their own support forums. You are removing custom top bar, so -1 custom tool for affiliate earnings. Now i will have to promote my items elsewhere, like my own website. Soon my website will have 10k+ visitors, my own support forum etc. So will i need an envato marketplace in this case? Personally i don’t understand your logic

As for me you need to provide more tools and posibilities for authors, not to remove an existing ones

• Custom Logo (2 version for responsive design – check my preview to see)
• Item preview images
• iOS detection (ask to remove the bar on iOS cause iframed content doesn’t work properly on them.)
• snippet for authors to get a “add iframe banner” if someone removed it
• “Deeplinking” (which isn’t possible at all cause of the Same Origin Policy)

I have not idea why you’re doing this step cause it doesn’t make any sense.

It would be much better to include an option in the settings which allows me to toggle between envato header and custom header.

ThemeForest has some very talented people working for them, but I suppose the lack of ability in the management team is pushing these absurd “improvements”.

I can name a thousand features more important than this.
