I’ve been using post thumbnail in WordPress but I don’t know how to cut the image properly.. it’s automatically re-size to the given values.. like images with people, heads are being cut.. How do I properly cut it? anyone can help me.. :)

You need to set it not to crop. Something like :

add_image_size(‘thumbnail’, 300, 300, false);

That false parameter tells not to crop the images.

I never tried that.. but the dimension (300×300) still works on this? so is it advisable to use false instead of true?

Any size works like that. the important thing is to set the crop off. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size

Just be careful wit that.Use it only on thumbnails otherwise if you get cropped images and display them on Portfolio or any slider you can end up with a frustrated buyer because his work is not showing up completelly.

On those cases i would suggest this jQuery plugin – http://code.google.com/p/jquery-imagefit-plugin/
