Do any of these themes allow for different widgets to be placed on different posts and pages. I am currently using a theme that does not allow it. I need to run separate banner advertising in different sections (20+) of my mag/news style site and need to be able to create separate sections with their own advertising.

you can use the plugin as it says webdesignerart:

Use wordpress SiMPLE AD MANAGER it has much features that you want.
or you can use the code as below: - I usually use logic like this:

<?php
if ($i == 0) {
        echo "<div class="widget-ads" style="display:block">";
} elseif ($i == 1) {
            echo "<div class="widget-ads-2" style="display:block">";
} elseif ($i == 2) {
            echo "<div class="widget-ads-3" style="display:block">";
}

switch ($i) {
    case 0:
        echo "<div class="widget-ads" style="display:block">";
        break;
    case 1:
        echo "<div class="widget-ads-2" style="display:block">";
        break;
    case 2:
        echo "<div class="widget-ads-3" style="display:block">";
        break;
}
?>

I hope this can help
regards.</div></div></div></div></div></div>
