I’m not sure if this is common, or allowed either. A potentially customer is wanting to modify our Wapp template to be used in their membership script. For every sale they agreed to buy a copy of our template. Although I think they’d simply have to buy 1 extended license anyway since it states inside the extended license agreement “(h) If the Work is used or incorporated in a work there is no restriction on the number of copies of that work that can be reproduced and distributed.”

Would this apply to my circumstances?

If he expect more than 50 sales (even long term) he should buy extended license

And what he’s suggesting would be allowed within the terms and license, assuming he buys the extended license?

Isn’t there a company that does something like this? They have a bunch of site templates, and when someone picks one they buy a regular license for it. They have it setup to their own CMS – Envato even endorsed them once.

I’d be interested to know about this place, just for curiosities sake. But if that’s the case, I should be fine to let them know they can do what they’re suggesting with the extended license.
