If you’re budget is around $1,000 which is kind of low for a workstation, you may just be better off buying a Dell. While I’m sure you’ll get more bang for your buck with a custom built, it may not be worth the time of researching, ordering, building, etc.

If it’s urgent, definitely just buy one. Assembling one does take a lot of time like Mark said, plus if you buy parts from different places, you’ll have to wait for shipping at different times. Installing a OS, BIOS , and all that jazz isn’t that fun either if you urgently need a new PC.

Thanks Vinh What you guys think about http://www.dell.com/in/business/p/precision-t1600/pd this one?

I am gonna use it for, after effects templates, keying & compositing of 4k footages, non-linear editing and lil bit 3D work. Should i go for this?
