Hi, I’m not quite sure about something, I’ve noticed that on a few sites that use some of my templates they have removed my Designed by Simnor Web Design link and replaced it with their own Designed by their name. In the license it says this:
“You must not display the product in such a way as to suggest that the product was created by you.” here http://themeforest.net/legal/licences#single-use-limited-licence
Am I right in thinking that they are not allowed to put that link there?
I think they should follow the author’s request by leaving any copyright information or else it’s a violation of envato’s terms.

Technically – no. They’re free to remove your “Designed By” link, but they can’t imply that the template was 100% created on their own.
That’s what I thought, I don’t mind them removing my link but I don’t want them claiming my work as theirs.
Simple write them a message, kindly explaining that even if they are free to remove the message, they can not claim the work – it should work. Remember, always begin with diplomacy
