I’m on my 6th version of my website now and have to say it’s my fav so far:

Wilde Media

It takes a while to come up with a good design. Just think of the colours you would like to use and a theme. Or just go for something minimalist. Take a look around the CSS galleries online, they can provide a lot of inspiration sometimes. Look at your competition and make sure to cover things that they don’t and make sure it’s easy to read and navigate, not crowded with graphics.

Anyone fancy designing my website then? :D :P

...show me the mockups you have or specify some details of what you have in mind. I have some spare time this days and can be fun to design your site :-)

Designing your own site is a bastard of a process. There are so many options, you keep getting new inspirations and it seems impossible to pick anything final. You feel like you want to grab the best elements from everything. I spent over a month trying different designs for my new site, in the end I went with a fairly simple but clean design… which perhaps I will embellish at another stage. At least for now I have something which I feel is representative of my work and is simple and effective.
