I have about 8 email addresses that are regularly used. At first I tried Thunderbird because, well, Mozilla, but it was crap so I switched in desperation to Windows Live Mail. This is pretty good, all things considered, but I’m having a spam problem from a certain site and adding the domain to blocked senders appears to do nothing at all.
Therefore I need either help to get my blocked senders list working properly so I can keep using this, or recommendations on what you guys use to manage multiple emails. I’m on a PC, fyi.
Go-go-gadget advice!
I am using MS Office Outlook. I didn’t found something even close like features, but, isn’t free.
i’d recommend Mutt, if you’re comfortable with Console Mail Clients.

I’m using multiple gmail accounts under the one main account.
So if gmail is your case, you can visit settings page and add more emails there. Then I prefer to create filters to “divide” emails. So if mail comes from fff@gmail.com apply one filter and so on.

gmail can be a solution if you are ok with that header injection for the rest of accounts what show something like “on behalf of…”. all your accounts are subsidiary to the main one and Google take care to show that to any receiver.
I tend to prefer stuff that isn’t in the browser anyway, I have about 20 tabs open at all times as it is
That Mutt thing looks scary, I can’t believe Outlook could possibly be the best…could it?
Thanks for the suggestions!
depend on what features you are looking for. when you are using many accounts, in special on professional side, you need more then a send / receive function.
a simple mail account, stable and efficient have and opera. but is not that easy at backup.

In that case, you should stick with either Mozilla Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail.

What’s wrong with Thunderbird ? Why did you call it as faeces ?
I’ve used both of them in the past when i used Windows, and they are a great piece of software.
Thunderbird = Crap ?..........I use it since years and it’s by far my favorite email client. Using 4 different email addresses via IMAP (Google Apps and also a custom VPS email server).
My setup
- Thunderbird 3.1.2
- Lightning 1.0b2 (Add-on: Integrated Calendar)
- Provider for Google Calendar (Add-on: Allow bidirectional access to google calendar)
- Zindus 0.8.24 (Add-on: Google contact sync)
Running on Mac OSX .
I used the academic discount and purchased Microsoft Office Pro for $80. It was totally worth it, I love Outlook. Even though it never displays background images in email templates
