I’m working with a designer to make my first HTML template for Themeforest. It’s a bit daunting and I was wondering how long other developers spend on creating HTML templates.
How long did your first one take?
How long does it take you now?
Thanks!
I think it would depend on how complicated / original your template will be. For me, my web template took me around a month’s time to develop, from sketch to final product. If you use some frameworks, the development time will be shortened significantly, probably 10% to 30% less.

Our first site template ended up taking about two months. That said, I think a lot depends on how many third party scripts you’re going to integrate. I wrote a few of the scripts myself when I probably could have opted for a third party script instead—I just preferred the challenge of writing it myself
I take about 2-3 months. but sometimes it’s even longer. No rush, it’s all about the fun man. hehe
Cheers
