Just got this in the mail from a friend:

http://blog.rabidgremlin.com/2012/10/11/did-microsoft-just-kill-flash-ie10-wont-run-flash-unless-your-site-is-on-a-microsoft-whitelist/

I can totally understand their reasons for taking that approach (mobile), but how do you think the default Windows UI will impact the web? (read the article to understand)

It doesn’t surprise me, sites need to convert to HTML5 and stop using flash but that’s just my opinion. :)

I met with someone from Adobe at a conference and she showed me some of their newest projects: http://html.adobe.com/opensource/

Looks to me like they’ve realized it too :)

Redmond, start your photocopiers. I guess it’s hip to take a bash at Flash ;) Quite an odd decision for desktop devices, though..

It doesnt say that desktop version wont support flash. Please see the below point

Both ship with a built in version of Flash BUT the Windows UI version won’t run Flash unless your site is on a whitelist. The Desktop version will run Flash as normal.

Thanks
