I recently purchased a WP theme here on ThemeForest. The set up instructions were incomplete and unclear in several areas. I contacted the author twice via email, but still have not heard back from him in several weeks.
As of this time, I am unable to get the site to work the way it shows on the sales page, with the instructions given.
- Any suggestions on what to do?
- Does ThemeForest ask the authors to be available for tech support after a purchase has been made or anything like that?
- Does anyone know if Themeforest offers any help when the author has been unavailable?
Sorry if my questions seem obvious or silly, I’m new here. I’m not a designer or coder and this is the first time I’ve purchased a theme.

Authors are not required to provide support however many do. Considering this is your first experience it’s likely the documentation is complete and your not fully understanding how to complete the task. Consider paying someone to set it up for you?
Thanks for your response… you are probably right. That was actually one of the questions we sent a few weeks ago, but but he never responded.
The author offers a service that will set the site up for us. My boss wanted to take him up on that, but he never responded to our first or second email…
Many authors here have jobs apart from doing templates on Theme Forest.
It could also be that he/she is caught up with the job, or maybe even went on vacation before he/she got the chance to answer your email.
