I have been asked to review resumes for another web guy to add to our creative team at the company I work. Yet Every resume I have reviewed so far is absolutely horrific. And, surprisingly, not too many include portfolio links. Ugh!
What is the deal? There seems to be a good community of designers out there yet I have not seen 1 out of 100’s worth a look.
Established US company in FL, pays well, full benefits, great equipment to work on etc… Yet no quality applicants.
How about some suggestions for design based job boards.
thanks.

I’d recommend trying Authentic Jobs as well
This might be a good one. Where in Florida? I’m in Naples.
Vero Beach… right across the state.
The list I have include Authentic Jobs, WebdesignerWall and I also have Krop.com Anybody ever used these to success?
Programmermeetdesigner.com may yield some results, however a lot of the people who apply for jobs are from outside the US, it may be tough to find a good local one.

How about oDesk or Elance, etc?
I assume you are looking for a on-site worker.
Maybe if you look for a remote one you will find better applicants.

And is better
And if you are looking for remote, you should have tried making a thread on TF? Idk if this would be against the rules (i don’t think so), but what i know is, i’d be applying
Yes… on site. We have remote employees already so we need someone in-house to handle day-to-day
