Yes… on site. We have remote employees already so we need someone in-house to handle day-to-day

Finding people in your area might be more difficult. Maybe you can relocate the right person to your city.

But that’s expensive.

I’m about ready to start looking for some remote designers… but I’m not sure the best place to look.

I might be interested if I lived in USA :)

If you do not want to pay, you can post a message here, I am sure that you will receive some good applicants. If you do not have trouble in paying for an advertisement, Authentic Jobs is a good choice.

I’m sure they don’t have a problem with paying and stuff they just can’t find a good person for the job. Maybe because the ppl who work from home developed a workstyle over the years that can’t just be brought out to a day-to-day workplace scheme, and often do better than their competitors.

You could post what you are looking for (qualifications, portfolio quality), then we know at least that this is really happening or you have WAY TOO high standars (I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t.)

I will post ( if I can) a link to the post we have on monster and a few other places. High standards? How about someone that knows what standards are :). there are tons of people out there that create a website for their mother’s-friend’s-bother then call themselves a web designer… not what we want. Someone with a few years of corporate experience in web design is preferable. Or someone that can fit into that corporate space (AKA… a real job)

I guess most of them are already employed then. :)
