I’m finally going to move my domains away from GoDaddy (for a number of reasons). I saw this post from 2 years back but things change fast: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/anyone-recommend-me-a-domain-registrar/22725
So which registrars are reputable these days?

They say close to quarter of million domain name and close to 100000 clients left GoDaddy just in the last week and all this due to the fear of SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) ,man that is a lot . if SOPA will happen in the US internet will change for sure….

I decided to ditch them before I heard of their support for SOPA , but now I am in more of a hurry to stop rewarding them with my business.
Every American who is against this should contact their Senators and House rep (phone, fax, contact form on website, whatever). They might reject or ignore your plea like they did mine, but still, then they know it’s one more person who is unhappy with their representation and they just might give in at the last moment. Oh, and tell them again if they don’t bend, and then again.
Most of Congress doesn’t understand the scale of what they are trying to do for these Hollywood lobbyists. It’s as if they never realized their approval rating is 12%! Don’t get me started on politcs…

I use namecheap. I have about 20 domains through them – they’re awesome, even offering $0.01 domains on occasion!
