as title, do author should include working php file inside their HTML file? and why should author do that?
i personally think that buyers that buy HTML file should understand that they buy HTML file. PHP file is only additional feature. and its optional.
No this is not required, because HTML is HTML and not a working PHP script.
Things like contact form, subscribtion forms, etc. are optional and like a bonus for your buyers.
But this should be inclosed that there is not a working contact tab or php to go with it and it would need to be created as a disclaimer. I have purchased other html’s before and they had at least the contact form working, just needed to be updated. This I feel was not told or stated at all before the purchase and I would not have brought the site if I would have known this in the beginning.
the mindset that i personally think its wrong. when you are buying a HTML Template, you should not expect that author give you working PHP file. some author may include bunch of PHP file like contact form, subscription form, etc. but its not becoming standard on HTML Template marketplace.
So every other template that I have used or friends that have brought all come with these MAIN ingredients and 1 out of hundreds that are posted just happened to be the one I download. Poses a question that the compatibility with the site must be difficult to configure cause if not it would have been included.
its not actually about another author include this or that. but complaining because another author include another author do is really pain while author not mandatory to add it.
no worry i flag this discussion to envanto staff response. they may give direction to the right place.
It depends on the features that you offer. Working contact form is a feature that can add value to your HTML files …. but it is not Must right?
Adding a PHP contact form will save you hours of answering complaints why the contact form doesn’t work on your HTML template.
