Do mobile-only themes have a market?

I have a really cool idea for a mobile + tablet only theme, The thing is, I looked at the mobile themes section and it seems they barely sell, is there a reason for it? is the section new? I cant find any sales per time statistics to compare, so I’m trying to figure out weather to a mobile only theme worth the time relatively to the revenue it can make?

How can you tell? is it shown somewhere? I couldn’t find any indicator of how long are the themes on the site

just visit the item page, you can find the date when the item has been put online on the right column
