Following the “do you smoke?” and “do you eat meat?”, now for all of you, do you eat sugar?

I´m trying to reduce, i don´t eat more chocolate or candies. I leave colas drinks. But is amazing, if you go to supermarket, even those products that are not sweet, have sugar. I discover a packet of salt, yes, salt, that says “sugar” on it´s ingredients.

I discover many things related to sugar, i suggest, for those interested on what are you eating, to research for it. For example, there´s a book called “Sugar Blues” that inform you about all the “behind scenes” of the sugar industry…. and in your body of course.

So, what you think?

hi there roberto, I noticed you’re very active in the forums..

I also try to eat less candy and chocolate… I stopped drinking coke.. I drink water the whole day, but sometimes I like to drink icetea…. it’s important to have some sugar in your body

when I was in the army and had to sit and listen what a guy with some higher rank than me had to say, and I slept away several times, then you had to stay instead of sitting….. we always ate chocolate and some other army food with sugar to stay awake :D

aeroalquimia el mate dulce es de nenas!!! :) por lo menos aca en uruguay-land.

daniel, yes exactly you said some important things even you don´t realise it. Firest the sugar, the white one averybody has in the kitchen, is not a natural thing, is chemical. The way to do it is so similar to the heroin or cocain, or…. anything white and “refined”. This kind of sugar is not necesary by the body. Others like the one on fruits and vegetables, yes is natural.

For example, how many beetroot you can eat in one day? Noboy will eat 30 at same time, isn´t? Well, a coup of sugar (the same a 1lt.coke has) is about 30~40 beetroots!! So, you drink a coke, and you are putting inside your body the eq. to 40 beetroots… that´s insane for sure.

Anything you eat, more than you need, could be dangerous… even water or oxigen.

Also, in the book i said “sugar blues” he describe how the sugar was used on the army since many many years. You will know, the UK army has a “fight pill” the soldiers take one to go and fight with “extra” energy. This is the same when you have cocaine on your system.

And, you know too, sugar makes the same.

The big problem with this is that nobody knows it, everybody think refined sugar is a natural thing, but it does´t. The big companies knows this, and are using sugar to play with our health.

You can see, no one product on the markets says how many sugar are on the ingredients, they just say “sugar”, but how many? nobody knows.

Also, they uses other kind of names to call it, so you think you are buying something without sugar, but, wrong, they are just using some other name.

For what i researched, it´s a very big problem, causes a lot of bad things not only on a body level, also is degenerative from generation to generation, and since the refined sugar was on the market many diseases appear.

Anyway, i like to share this kind of info, i think is important to know.

Because this is off topic when it comes to the subject of the marketplaces, it’s a thread about sugar. ;)

No worries, it’s been moved. :)

I buy only brown sugar and use it sparingly (coffee/tea).
