I used to dual boot till last month, It really depends on what you want to do. But in the end, I would always come back to Windows. I have windows 8 but I prefer Windows 7. (Unless you give me a macbook, there is nothing better.)

I have Windows 7 and I don’t want to switch to Win8, no reasons for that. I tried it on my brother’s computer and I don’t like it. I mean it is beatifull and offer a good experience for simple users, but for programers like me it is not productive. I’m one of the people who don’t care about fancy effects, just speed. :)

Also, I like ubuntu, but I still prefer Windows for many reasons(one of them is the large variety of softwares).

Currently I’m using Ubuntu 13.10 but I will upgrade tomorrow to 14.04. Ubuntu is my primary OS for 3 years and it’s a lot better and faster than Windows. Windows wins only if you are a gamer.

I have touch enabled Lenovo Yoga Pro 2, and Windows 8.1 is the best choice considering use of touch interface with mouse and keyboard all in the same time. So far Ubuntu fails far behind Windows in term of touch use.
