Friday’s question of the day: Does having an avator improve sales?

Or do some avators, say a picture of your Face, give buyers more confidence in your product? Or for buyers, does someones avator influence our choice?

Before I start making files, I was a buyer here without any intention of making files. Those times, I found it was easier if the author had some form of uniformity in the avatar and item thumbnails. Doesn’t necessary to be attractive but elements that helps identify are fair enough.

From sales point of view, I don’t think avatar affects much but item thumbnails. We can see some authors having funny / risky avatars with decent sales numbers!

\\ LOL :D

I use my picture in the hopes it lets the authors know there really is a person behind my products. But I’ve been thinking along the lines of VF lately that it doesn’t match my products. I’m thinking about adding a uniform border the thumbnails that my profile and my products will share.

My thumbnails are not showing the product that i’m selling just the text, the first time i had 4-5 items that were got buyed 4-2-1 time/s but now i have some quality products whit same thumbnail and i don’t have any sale from 2-3 weeks(i have 12 items). So yeah,i think thumbnails are an important thying in selling your products.
