Hi!
I’m making a blog page for my new theme and I stumbled across a doubt: I added a “Read More” button to the posts, but I worry if it looks too gaudy there. What’s your opinion? Should I remove the button?

Thanks
To be honest, I was never a big fan of “Read More” buttons cleared left. When you have a list of Posts and all of them have that button at the exact same position, it looks like an army or soldiers. Too much of user attention is payed to that very button, it looks too important.
By me, if you are up to use a button instead of just a plain textual link, simply make it smaller and fit to the end of a text summary. But that’s just me.

Before I had a simple “Read More” link, but the reviewer said me to add more details to the design, so I thought that a button would be a good idea.
You can see the previous version here:

Plain text much better
You might add it to new line.
Yeap, definitely looks much better.
I don’t know if it is just me but the text can be difficult to read. Again, it could be my monitor (which it most likely is) but I had to find the right angle to be able to read it. It’s also 1:15 in the morning which might have something to do with it.

It’s the font, it’s an ass to read here too.
It’s a poor quality screengrab looking blurry rather than monitor being wrong – I guess.

You are right
On the site itself it looks good.
I will just opt by the plain text in a new line, as saintdo recommend.
