i have send a powerpoint template to envato.
here it is:
the template use 2 fonts. both fonts are inside the package folder. also i link the fonts for free downloading. the fonts are the same as on the picture you see in the preview.
after 5 days reviewing time, envato send me an automatic message, that i need to overwork the both fonts.
but the fonts are 100% ok, also the design. but the envato reviewer do not install the fonts on his pc – so he got only standard windows fonts, which are looking horrible inside the template.
i can´t fly to australia and train the reviewer, how to install the fonts in 10 seconds, so what should i do now? standard windows fonts are no option. can somebody help please?
You are sure the reviewer don’t install your fonts? I doubt about that. But my advice: send a message to reviewer and explain the situation add a link to your preview too.
yes i am sure they do not have installed the fonts correct.
if they do not install the font correct, or change the fonts manually over the “change fonts” in powerpoint – the result is a different one and look maybe horrible. depands on the font which is standard of the reviewer.
the picture of the fonts i use – are in the preview.
that is my original: http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/3204/7ql4zudg_png.htm
that is what the reviewer see: http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/3204/mrpeoz62_png.htm
he need to install the font first, that is common. also sometimes you install all correct, but windows make problems and you need to fix that in powerpoint manually.
but what should i do now? windows fonts are no option.
IMO, the issue is not about installing fonts but the thing, that you include them into the main package. Reviewers are really great professionals so for sure they can instal fonts
Solution: remove fonts from zip folder and add links to them in to description file
no that is not the reason – cause i already put the free download inside the helping pdf.
and – it do not depends on professional or not – to install fonts in windows correct, but in powerpoint you see them wrong. it is windows/powerpoint problem some times.
that is what i got from the reviewer:
Unfortunately your submission AVANTGARDE POWERPOINT TEMPLATE isn’t quite ready for GraphicRiver.
Additionally, we have some extra feedback for you:
Try taking a look over the following links for a little help on font pairings:http://fontfuse.webink.com/ – this link will give you inspiration and suggestions on some great looking font pairings
Here’s a little help on picking your own typefaces, how many to use:http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/articles/typography-articles/a-beginners-guide-to-pairing-fonts/
so they think the fonts do not hit the design…
otherwise, if you are right – why they do not write – that in ONE SENTENCE CLEARLY? or is that some part of a quiz for new authors?
maybe i revise my opinion and try it.
but i can´t understand, why they do not tell that clearly. cause free links for the fonts are already set + links in the helping file. and if you have the ok from the author of free fonts (cc) in a written way you can put them inside of your package – i think.
but maybe, i am wrong and delete the font folder. that take one second -but to revise 21 packages x 31 slides and adjust everything… that takes horrible time.
