I get a complaint that one of my templates isn’t compatible in Dreamweaver Design view. I never thought about this before, because it would pretty strange to work not for browsers, but for program view. Does HTML templates have to be compatible with Dreamweaver or it’s just one buyer opinion?

Hi, I never design my templates for WYSIWYG editors, they should work but if they don’t then I don’t worry about it especially as most of my templates use jQuery. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Dreamweaver’s design view is still not up to par with web standards. This is apparent when the design works across all browsers, and yet DW does not render it correctly.

So I personally never worry about it. There’s really nothing we can do. :)

I’ve had a few people contact me regarding the same issue and asked me to fix it. ThemeForest doesn’t require compatibility with any programs other than the major web browsers and proper web standards. If a buyer’s editing application doesn’t display the template correctly, maybe they should learn to code by hand. :D

Indeed, I wouldn’t care about this too much. Imagine, having to take care of every WYSIWYG (what are these letters meaning anyway?).

That and IE6 , would just be toooo much work :D
