@LucidStudios Wtf, that actually worked. It jumped straight through all the checkpoints when I deleted the 5Gb of files before they had uploaded. I’ll edit the thread’s first post to include this handy trick later (just about to head out, I’ll be back :P )

Worked instantly for me an hour ago, but when fixing my dad’s account I needed to restart Dropbox for it to work.

Yeah, it’s not an automatic update – it’s a Beta version that they’re testing out. Usually only people on the Dropbox forums install these beta versions, but major blogs caught onto this one because of the huge amount of free space ;)

I see it remembers/indexes all your files, if you previously tried to ‘upload’ them.

Tried with my USB drive and external HDD and it wasn’t working, as I said above. Tried again and then, for both, it said something like ‘No new photos to upload. Go out and take more photos’.

So I left my iPhone recording a video… Damn, only 2.5 GB to go….

Hey Joost thanks for sharing this! Everything worked for me, took 5 GB of images and filled it in flash folder “DCIM” then pulled it out and pushed it back in. Imported all images to DropBox and after that removed all of them. Now I have extra 5 GB, so to sum up it’s 9.1 GB of free storage. :)
