Well, It’s still a sought after music genre when it comes to library music. It’s often used in trailers and commercials. Did you guys see the HBO promo for Vikings? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-xiz-5cFOM

I make dubstep now and then but don’t release it commercially (as an artist) other than the use for library music. Just like other genres it will evolve. It has become popular and integrated with pop music.

I do enjoy the harsher stuff though. Like Hecq, Broken Note, Igorrr and such. They are more of a mixture between dubstep, industrial, cinematic, jazz, metal. You name it. Igorrr got it all in there.

Thanks for the tipp, Igorrr is pretty sick. Do you have his best tracks at hand? Any tipps?

Well technically everything in this reality is music.. music = arranged vibration.. physical matter is the end result of condensed vibration in harmony.

So basically any collection of sound frequencies is music.. but the level of appreciation of that sound form depends how it resonates with your emotional frequency, so what someones opinion of what genre is “music” is really subjective.

I’ve read somewhere that dubstep is about aliens having sex with an elephant. There are 3 main themes:

- elephant likes it;

- elephant is not happy;

- elephant is furious.

I liked the newest Korns’ album though :D

The latest Hallelujah album is his most diverse album. I’d recommend giving the whole album a good listen. Damaged Wig with it’s have metal sections is great, also Cicadidae with a latin mix feel. It features a lot of guest musicians. For instance Teloch from the metal band Mayhem has done guitar parts for the album.

I think everything that’s electronic music is being labeled dubstep nowadays. It’s become one of those catch all phrases like HTML5.

Of course it is music. Can’t say that I really listen to it though.

Hi! I want to know your opinion, whether you approve of how dubstep music? Did it just a set piece of iron and slamming? Thanks! :D

If you don’t like pure dubstep just try chillstep or liquid dubstep. Some great examples:
