Hi -

quick question, I’m interested in the banner rotators here, they say they’re in ‘jquery’, not sure what that means in terms of how I’d use those from within dreamweaver? From what I see, ‘jquery’ just means I’d download the latest jquery.js, upload to my server, reference that from within DW code, and somehow link to the banner rotator file?

I code flash, after effects and html, and know my way around joomla/wordpress, just not sure how jquery-developed files work, that I’d buy here.. eg ‘how to add to a website’ ... thanks. I’m thinking the jquery ones are better than flash banner rotators since some mobile phone apps don’t use flash (boo)... so looking for dhtml (or jquery) alternates, for b-rotators..

Yes exactly like that. Reference the latest jquery in your dreamweaver site (ie: add this code to the head area: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js"></script>).

Then any jquery plugins you have on the page will start working.

The plugins generally have instructions on how to implement them, along with instructions on how to add jquery to the site if it doesn’t already have it. It’s very easy, so the plugin author should be able to assist if you run into troubles.

Best of luck.
