Hi all!

I have a problem with bold and italic tags. I added the font names in the library and embed fonts for each tag. For bold I embed the font with the bold check on, for bold and italic with checked bold and italic in a separate embed and so on. But didn’t work. I think I’m missing something in the code:(. Here is the script: http://pastie.org/529203.

Thank you,
Alex

remove

content_mc.content_txt.html = true;

and then try again. Because embedding fonts and using html text don’t get on well each other. As a work around, you should place 3 dynamic textfields on the stage, make one of them bold, one italic and the last one plain. Now embed the necessary font outlines and recompile it with

content_mc.content_txt.html = true;

It should work fine

send pastie the following:

about_us_style.css about_us.xml

(you can put something dummy in the xml if it is private)

There were two problems: 1-you should assign the css after you set the htmltext, 2-In the library select “export for actionscript” for the arial font

I can send you the fla with PM if you want it. http://pastie.org/529288

I selected “export for actionscript” for the arial font. I’m sorry for asking but what means PM?

PM is private message where others can send messages to your email address (in your profile page). I forgot that I can’t send attachments. if you pasted the code in the pastie to your document, it should work fine now. In my fla, I created a movieclip called content_mc and a textfield content_txt in this mc. As I told you before, I created two more text fields one bold, the other italic. I also selected bold and italic in the library font. You can see the result here: http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/4573/cssv.jpg

If you couldn’t figure it out, send me a private message and I send you the fla file.

If you use an embedded font and CSS styles, embed the different states of the font as well. When adding you see these properties, hinting it’s mandatory to embed the correst state you want to use (ie.bold, italic, bitmapped).

Hope that helps.
