Turn out your light, show support

In 2009 hundreds of millions of people around the world showed their support by turning off their lights for one hour.

Earth Hour 2010 will continue to be a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future.

Pledge your support here and turn off your lights for one hour, Earth Hour, 8.30pm, Saturday 27th March 2010.

It’s Showtime! Show what can be done.

I’ll support, how about you? :)

It all started back in 2009 in Sidney, Australia – and as long as Envato originates from there, I thought we should all get involved!

I’m going to turn every light in the house on and point them at the window so everyone will know.

I live in oil country, I expect may of my neighbors will do the same :)

You live in Alberta I take it, trust me when I say not everyone in Canada shares your opinion on being a anti-environment.

I will have all my lights off.

Oh don’t worry I’m not really going to turn on all the lights.

But I do find the ritual a bit silly, after all electricity is an awesome gift for productivity. Think how much better it would if everyone spent that hour researching/building nuclear plants.

The ritual is silly but it would be nice to see people do it on their own and just reduce their electricity use when it’s not really needed. I only have things on in my house when I really require it.

Ever since I got the digital smart meter installed I have been working around times to use electricity as it costs more during periods of the day. As for earth day I will probably forget and see it on the news next day and be like ooops I was in the hot tub cranked to 104f with full jets on watching the leafs lose ;)

Leafs might lose but they are definitely building a solid team. They are 2nd worst in the league and one of the hardest teams to play.
