I generally purchase After Effect project files but today I purchased a motion graphic. What I received was several MOV files. I’m not even sure what I am suppose to do with them. I’m a novice with AE but I can change colors of layers and replace images.

The image came with 3 seperate MOV files so I have no idea where to start with this.

Hey jimmyshoe85. Unless the motion graphic item you bought also includes an After Effects project, there isn’t much you can edit. Think of it as camera recorded stock footage… you can add other filters/effects to it as you would to any kind of AE layer. If you want to change the color add a “Photo Filter” or “Hue/Saturation” effect and play with the settings. If what you bought is something like a light leaks overlay, you might have to drop it on a layer over other footage and change its blending/transfer mode to “Add” or “Screen”. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I’m going to try that. If not I’ll just buy a new one.
