i can also add some useful tips:

  • Forget the idea that you can have as much as you want
  • If you have soil, you immediately start to learn how to use it and start learn how to restore it
  • If you depend on the cellphone, get landline
  • Get books and dokumentations about agriculture, animals, first aid, how to storage and save food, how to build house, stable, how to smoke meat, how to create primitive machines, tools, how to dig well, build owen etc.. everything like that.
  • build water and food storages, and sustainable power sources
  • Get seeds, but not hybrid- but real ones
  • Pray!

There are 2.2Billion people now using the internet.

If you try hard enough,(regardless of the down turn) you can surely make a living off them – especially as graphic/web designers, people who understand the internet better than your average Joe.

Quickandeasy: Thats not 2.2 Billion people how use the internet. Thats 2.2 Billion “user” has internet. There some other things as well. Nearly 1 Billion people who starving. I mean seriously. Neraly 3 billion people (close to half the world’s population!!!!) live on less than the $2 per day. The needs of the natural resources and energy grows year by year but in the same time we are running out from the resources, year by year and the prices are drastically getting higher and higher. When this will hit the food (actually its already happening) the problems will be not anymore theoretical. Thats gonna hurt. People will change, world will change. You might think im pessimistic. But im talking about the reality and the facts. Not some isolated and artificially maintained parts of the world. Its time to look around the whole world.

Coincidentally, we had a baboon raid yesterday. I was alone in my studio midday when 20 of them raided. Alpha Male opened my front door, while i was chasing others out of the vegetable garden. He opened the fridge and took eggs, bananas and pawpaw. I came in the back and he left, only to return through the bedroom skylight, By this time i was terrified and he knew it. All i could do was let him do his thing. The garden is once again a bomb site after all the rocks and pots have been upturned for insects, and i have no fruit or eggs left. But hey, there won’t be any scorpions around for a while.

It’s illegal to shoot them, but i know how to make a powerful catapult. :)

joiaco, i have an idea. If you have a license for a gun just shoot them one buy one. Make sure you do some shot into the wall then take an use an another gun and eliminate the Alpha Male. Clean the first gun from your fingerprints and place the gun into his hand. Than call 911 or whatever. If they suspicious and dont believe you, just show them this video and make sure to remove this comment :D:D:D

LOL Jo that’s a serious experience.. it’s time for placing traps…banana traps!! Traps are not illegal? I mean if you nest them you don’t hurt them right? ABout the crisis, well we don’t know a fuck about it, probably money is not what we really need to live well, and until we really understand it we’ll be always slaves of this system and the money. This “crisis” is something planned, doesn’t have nothing to do with anything else. I quote what Charlesbrown said for the rest

Giallo, No its not planned. This is just a statutory attendant of the consumer society. Look, those segment who has the power and who would have the possibility to change this still dont want to confess that totally wrong concept which is says infinite growth are could exist. This planet is not infinite. Resources are not unlimited. Nothing, none of a single thing on this Earth are unending. Except one thing, called: ‘Human Greediness’. But we gonna pay for this mistake for sure.

At first I thought you were trolling but then I saw you live in Knysna. Dangerous baboons up there. You should move down to Cape Town joiaco. Nothing but beaches, good looking women and a mountain.

Anyway, getting back on topic: I think Envato is the most revolutionary web group that has ever been developed for us in our respective creative industries.

It’s difficult for everyone one all over the world at the moment but Envato has given us a lifeline that most people in other industries don’t have the fortune of having. Being able to develop a portfolio which you can supplement your salary with by earning passive income it’s exactly what a lot of people could use right now in today’s economy.

I’ve always encouraged people who have asked me about finance to build portfolios outside of their 9-5 job. Having your work earn you money passively is the key to financial independence. Whether it’s some real estate you earn rent from, a stock portfolio you earn growth and dividends from or an online marketplace like this, having your work earn you money and not your time is a fundamental way to escaping the rat race.

How ironic, it’s not the financial guys but the creatives that are in a stronger financial position than everyone else at the moment.
