Hi guys, I have a quick question regarding element 3d. When submitting an element 3d template, are we allowed to use the environment maps that come with the plugin? Or we have to use our own environment maps?

That’s all, thanks in advance! :)

I think that your question is in a grey area.If I m not wrong there isn’t a specific rule for the use of basic assets delivered with the plugin.I would say to build your own map if you can, this will give more control of the reflections in your file, and user will have and extra environment map to play with in other files. The main priority of the license regarding template is that the user MUST have the plugin. As always in those case, support is the way to go…Hope this help,
Arthur

Agree with flashato

Yeah it’s better to create your own map, cos existing maps doesn’t give good quality for the project as far as I know.

Thanks for the help :) I’m working on a project and I’m getting the results I want with the included maps. So it would be much easier to use the included assets. It would be very nice to get a staff reply on this :)

Any update to this?

I would really need a fast reply since I’m about to submit the new item. If we can’t, can someone recommend a good place where I can find good maps that I can use in my items?

Thanks :)

Environment maps that come with the plugin are allowed because they come with the plugin. When you purchase Element 3D you get build in envoirment maps and you don’t have anything with that because it’s comes with Element 3D.
