My expirience with Element 3D… I think it’s a bit hard for users to insert a logo, not TOO HARD! But it’s more then simple drag and drop. We’ll see…

at this point looks like element3D plugin can’t be used for stock files if we need to conform to videohive upload rules.

the main issue is that the plugin doesn’t find the 3D objects you have imported if you move the folder from the original location. Apparently it should do it if we believe the documentation but it doesn’t work.

The only way to make this work is to instruct the buyer to put the objects inside the “my_Models” folder in the “Documents” area. (on windows) The plugin will find the model if the 3d object is in that folder.

Since I can’t follow the upload rules, I’ve put the element 3d projects on hold :( till this issue is resolved.

I’ve uploaded the project and did a test with copying video tutorial model in my documents, I think it is not a problem that would stop projects. The thing is to correctly explain how to properly use

Element 3D will not be accepted while Videocopilot doesn’t fix some problem.

but what happened during the element 3d beta program made by envato? they didn’t find this issue? and if yes how you compile this list:

http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Live/Knowledgebase/Article/View/435/86/element-3d-submission-requirements

note:

“Project assets must be properly linked before submitting the project”

well, is not working. I can’t properly link the assets.

I’m also perplexed why videocopilot declare that their plugin will do something that is not actually doing:

http://www.videocopilot.net/help/element/help_files/#relinking

“Element will automatically search for missing files in around the directory your project file”

like what “in around the directory” means anyway?

didn’t work with the previous version either.

looks like A Kramer will add a relink manager next week. I don’t think it will resolve the issue since we need the project to open without problems when the buyer unzip the item. This is the goal.
